The Society works closely with Basildon District Council, the owner and manager of this ancient woodland (located in Billericay in the English County of Essex) to promote the interests of this Ancient Monument, Local Nature Reserve and Site of Special Scientific Interest.

Please go to the Countryside Services events site for more information/booking and events elsewhere in the District or phone 01268 550088.
Information about events for young people in Norsey Wood can be found here Happy faces

Norsey Woodland Crafts, to be found in the woodyard behind Norsey Wood Centre, now has a website, albeit still in the development stage. The email address and phone number can be found there now at: www.norseywoodlandcrafts.co.uk

Members' Photo Gallery

Members of the Society are invited to send up to four photographs taken in Norsey Wood for inclusion in this new gallery to nws@stones.com. Please indicate how you would like to be designated - we don't publish surnames. We may need to resize photos.

Visitors will have noticed that some trees in the area close to the Centre and near main paths have been lopped or felled. This is in the interest of safety. Please keep children and dogs well clear of any such activity in the future.

If you notice any tree or branch near a path that looks dangerous or has fallen across a path, please inform the Warden at the Centre or on 01277 624553. Thank you!

AboutMyArea is a website for the community, supporting local charities, groups and businesses.
